Dealer Notes

The 2019 Toyota Avalon is ready for your next move. Intricately designed LED front headlights and rear taillights feature dynamic auxiliary turn signals that shine bright. Its 19in gloss-black-finished wheels also complement its distinctive design. Inside, the large center instrument panel gives this car’s interior a distinctive look. Seamlessly integrating the 9in touchscreen display and the air conditioning panel makes the unit appear as if it were floating in front of the dash. The Avalon features tangential vents on the bumpers that save drag and improve vehicle quietness, while adaptive variable suspension maximizes handling and stability on every road. The 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers 301hp with less fuel consumption or go full hybrid with the 2.5-liter ECVT engine on the Avalon Hybrid. Paired with the smooth 8-speed transmission, the Avalon can deliver whenever you have the need for speed. The Avalon is packed with technology, including a premium audio system, Entune 3.0, Wi-Fi connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and the option of a 110-volt outlet, Apple CarPlay compatibility, wearable connectivity and wireless charging. You’ll find a comprehensive suite of safety features such as adaptive cornering lights, bird’s eye view camera with perimeter scan, intelligent clearance sonar with rear cross-traffic braking and blind spot.

  • Very Disappointed, I owned several Avalons

This new design to me is a flop . It looked good on the showroom floor , and I rushed to buy it ,then I began to hate it . The 8 speed transmission is horrible ! You have to dig deep for the power and there is a delay. No freaking sun glass holder ! Exhaust note is too loud in any mode and bothersome for this type of vehicle. Beware of low profile rims. You hear and feel everything on the road and I bent all the rims with small pot holes. I hit my head every time I got into the car . The model I had was the Touring with ventilated seats, the fan was so loud and it feels so clammy! Rear window is so slanted that you cannot even clean the window from the inside, I had to use a spatula and a towel to try to clean the glass ! I hated this vehicle , I am glad it determined to be a lemon due to the JBL stereo defect and I got all my money back and bought the Lexus ES 350 and it is 1000 times better ! The only thing I liked was the way the rear tail light blinked in the Touring model . And that thrill wore out fast . I don’t recommend this new model Avalon. I have had all the older model Avalon’s and they were a lot better by far !
  • Not for long trips

We bought this for the economy but mainly for long trip travel. The seats get very uncomfortable after an hour, probably a design flaw because seats cool as well as heat. Also very poorly designed storage areas and no armrests. Perfect car if you weigh over 300 pounds. Skinnier people need more contours, lumbar and arm rests. Also the lane change vibration does not work. When you cross line it beeps but does not pull you over as in Camray. Dealer cannot fix the problem thinks it is a design flaw.
  • A Luxury Car with a Toyota Badge

As a Realtor, it was time to find a comfortable and luxurious sedan that didn't look too showy. I had looked at the previous generation of Avalons, but when I took the 2019 out for a test ride was sold! The fold down seats, smooth power, handling, and luxury feel are unlike any Toyota I've driven. I bought the Touring in Red with Graphite interior and the Advanced Safety Package. The car is very enjoyable to drive, my clients love riding in it, the fuel economy is exceptional (34 MPG highway and over 24 combined) and the acceleration is strong. The different drive modes change the car's character, and there is a slight delay in the throttle response that takes some getting used to compared to conventional cable direct throttles. The tires can make some muted "thumping" on the highway that the dealer says is normal. These are my only minor issues on an exceptional sedan that turns heads and checks all the boxes.
